Michigan Driver License Restoration for Bewildered Out of State Residents

Hello - My name is Joe and I was one of the millions of victims of the National Driver Registry, as they go out amongst the population to scrape up all the delinquent fees and monies that they can scrape. Bitter? I was, too. I was bitter to think that my own country would stoop so low as to come after me for an inevitable reinstatement fee (the end result) for something that happened 27 years ago.

Allow me to explain: I had a DWI (OUIL) in Michigan in 1987 that I had already paid my dues for, the jail time, the fines and fees ...They just wanted to know, after 27 years, that I was still not drinking and every kind of proof imaginable to paint them a 'sober picture' of me. If I HAD still been a drinker, it would make me Minnesota's problem, NOT Michigan's, as I hadn't lived in Michigan for over 20 years, but they always take it upon themselves to strip you of your present ability to drive, no matter WHICH state you reside in as they do delinquent child support payers, as a way to FORCE you to comply.

Allow me to be the first to tell you that I feel your pain. I KNOW how it makes you feel to have the state fall out of the sky and be the reason I couldn't 'renew' my present driver license in Minnesota, a license I have had for over 20 years without even a parking ticket.

As I went in to renew it, they informed me that I had unresolved driving issues in Michigan that would HAVE to be resolved before they could renew my pristine license. I was suddenly stripped of my dignity, my self-worth, and, not to mention, my inability to drive until I jumped through all their hoops.

Being in Minnesota, I tried to do it all myself ...obtaining the list of things they required just to begin CONSIDERING a 'release' from the National Driver Registry. Bewildering, but I began complying with all they wanted from me. This entailed a current pee test (with ph balance or other integrity variables to prove the pee was fresh), a psychological evaluation, a form they supply listing ALL of the driving infractions I had ever had due to alcohol (I had 7 on my record, spanning an 8 year period in several states, including Michigan), and all of the testimonials from those who know me best ...ALL supporting my contention that I had NOT drank alcohol for over 20 years.

I sent in every proof under the sun, and waited the 6 to 8 weeks for them to wear down the stack of applicants before finally getting to mine. Then, the day came that I went out to get the mail and there were the results ...I opened it to find I had been denied. I was crushed.

I, then, began calling attorneys in Michigan, Lansing to begin with, and was almost LAUGHED at for trying to get the State of Michigan's attention without an attorney and attempting to get it all resolved on my own. I was informed that they NEVER grant a 'release' from the National Driver Registry without being represented by an attorney. Again, beginning to become more bewildered.
I realized that they 'may' be saying that just to drum up business, but, the more I delved into this, the more apparent it became that it was the truth!

Looking back, I see it as a 'sign from God' (a revelation, for sure) that I was lucky AND blessed enough to have come across Aaron J Boria PLLC in Plymouth MI.

When I first called him, I could tell that he knew what I was up against and assured me that he could get a positive result when we gathered all that the state was looking to get from me. You see, my case was a little different than the cases of those who reside in Michigan - I own two businesses and CAN'T appear in Michigan in person. Mr Boria realized that this all had to be done without a personal appearance in front of the evaluation board.

This is NOT some 'fake' blog that people build to bolster their business - This is a testimony from a real client of Aaron J Boria's and a testament to the professionalism and capabilities that he possesses to get the job done. I have to say, I considered two other attorneys in Michigan, to get this problem of mine resolved, but was convinced, after weighing all the possibilities, that no other lawyer in Michigan was going to do the job that Mr Boria could do ...and I was RIGHT.

He and I had discussed that fact that HE would be notified by mail a day or two before 'I' would be, considering his geographic location to where the letter would be mailed from, and that he would call me with good or bad news, no matter HOW it turned out, because I wanted to know as soon as possible where I stood with the State of Michigan. About a week ago, my phone rang and it had his name on the caller I.D. and, just before answering the call, I realized 'THIS WAS IT'.

When I answered, I heard him say, "Hi Joe - Are you ready for some good news?" Right away, I felt this gigantic 'weight' rise up off of me as he proceeded to read the words from the letter he had just gotten from the State of Michigan: "Therefore, it is ORDERED that Petitioner's appeal is GRANTED and FULL LICENSE restoration is APPROVED".

To sum this all up, if you find yourself in a similar situation and feel like I did, as if there was absolutely nowhere to turn, call Aaron J Boria now at 734-453-7806. I recommend him for ANYTHING to do with a Michigan Driver's license ...whether it be a restoration issue, revocation or suspension. Using any other attorney is doing it at your own peril. His services are affordable, concise and nothing this side of incredible. Stop the worrying and call him now. I think you'll come away with the same, wonderful results that I did. As the old saying goes, if he can do it for me, he can do it for you, too. Even if you already have retained an attorney, drop them like a hot rock and call a winner - Aaron J Boria PLLC.
